- Responsible for school pastoral development to ensure highest standards of pupil development.
- Implementation of policies, Leading staff INSET and co-ordinating effective CPD, I strive to ensure that practice of teachers within school supports both academic and pastoral development of pupils.
- Designated mental health lead (DMHL)
- Deputy designated safeguarding lead (DDSL).
- Line manage Heads of Section, Head of Careers, Co-curricular Co-ordinator & Pastoral assistant.
- Coordinate student council.
- Oversee the 'House system'.
- Responsible for review and implementation of whole school policies, including, Anti-bullying, positive behaviour code, pastoral care and Pupil expectations.
- Work within the leadership team (LT), in planning strategic development of the school and implementing upon its strategic aims.
- Maintain positive behaviour, through restorative approach, amongst pupils and staff. Role model in all actions and behaviours.
- Record behaviours and sanctions across school and ensure staff are aware of relevant pastoral information. Managing serious disciplinary matters and forging effective communication pathways with parents; to support all pupils across school.
- Teaching timetable of approximately 18 lessons, inclusive of PE & games, GCSE PE & A-Level PE.

- Responsibility of inspiring and leading 8 professionals department, supporting staff in achieving department aims and objectives.
- Promote awareness and diversity around changes and issues that PE faces. Through CPD/INSET sessions led by myself and production of SOW for all members of department.
- Monitor, evaluate and review all work carried out by the department (teaching & learning, clubs & fixtures), including annual reviews of the public examinations at KS4/KS5.
- Maintain central department records of pupil progress (across all Key stages, more able/less able and SEN needs). Ensure appropriate interventions are in place to support pupils progress.
- Co-ordinate extra-curricular programme for PE.
- Prepare, deliver and monitor departmental development plan.
- Manage resources within department, ensuring budgets are kept in line with department spending caps.
- Organise departmental timetables and educational maps.
