  • In this role, I am expected to greet customers in a warm, welcoming and professional manner to enhance the business reputation. As I have moved forward in my position, I am entrusted with the responsibilities of training new Team Members. This has helped me develop some leadership skills, but has also taught me the importance of being patient, as people learn at different paces. Working at Greggs has helped to improve my customer service skills and my confidence, as I am dealing with many different people, both face to face and over the phone due to online delivery.

Team member

  • This was my first job role part-time while also being at college, which gave me organisational and time management skills as I had to focus on going to work and still focusing on my course work ensuring it was handed in on time and completed efficiently. My role as Team Member was to deliver balloon orders promptly and taking card and cash payments, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, also being able to handle difficult customers by being understanding of their issue and offering alternative items, resulting in conflict resolution. As my first job in the retail industry Card Factory gave me a clear insight on how to communicate with customers in a professional and welcoming manner, gaining confidence while working under pressure.
