Started as a Housing Trainee in the Sheffield office. Then applied for a job as a Housing Officer and was successful, this was a generic role completing lettings, tenancy management and income. The role then split to specialised roles and I chose to become an Income Officer.
In my Income Officer role my main duties are managing rent accounts to ensure that all monies owed in respect of rent and service charges are collected as efficiently as possible. This includes referring to in house teams to help support the customer and maximise income as well as external referrals. Before the restructure I attended court hearings and prepared paper work if we needed to apply to court to obtain a court order. I have always provided excellent customer service and to be understanding of different customers situations.
In this role I had a generic role including both Tenancy Management and arrears collection. My main duties were,
To deal with low level Anti Social behaviour and conduct Estate Visits.
To let properties to new tenants.
To manage a patch of properties rent accounts.
This was on a challenging estate in Gipton, Leeds and so it built up my customer service skills and knowledge very quickly.
I worked as a trainee Property Management Surveyor where I assisted the team in managing commercial properties.
We carried out regular property inspections and attended regular client meetings to gain experience.
I assisted in ensuring tenant arrears were proactively managed as well as dealing with tenant and client queries.
Assisted with service charge reconciliations
