I am a confident young individual who started work when I was 15 years old. Always driven by challenges and have a strong passion working with young people and changing lives. I aspire to join the police force as a later career in my life and believe gaining substantial life experience is very important. I'm independent with a strong work ethic and always strive to work my best with a professional mannerism and friendly face.
I worked with children ages 3-10 within swim instruction, helping them develop their swim forms and become stronger. I would do group sessions as well as 1:1 sessions with children who need the additional help.
Pre-camp, I had participated in staff training to maintain up-to-date knowledge on best practices for lifeguarding and behaviour management. I would utilise engaging games during lessons for enhanced learning experience, and to ensure my campers wellbeing were all okay.
I remained vigilant at all times enhancing safety, ensuring I was scanning the pool I was responsible for. Whether it was during lessons or when I was guarding.
Followed the correct risk assessments and safety procedures. Forming relationships with my campers, encouraging them to step out of their comfort zone, forming trust within the water so they knew they were safe so they could walk away feeling like they have achieved something new!
I worked with groups of children ages 5-11, planning sessions, liaising with parents, building confidence within the players, encouraging team play. As well as ensuring safeguarding and supervision at all times. Managing behaviour among the children and being able to communicate with them, along with developing their skills and keeping them engaged.
