Lucy Grundy

Summary

I started Witton Park Academy as a NQT, and during the 7 years of being a Teacher of Mathematics I have been a motivated and valued member of the team. This is evidenced by a comment from a second department in an appraisal: "Lucy is a hard working and conscientious member of the Maths faculty."

I have taught KS3 and KS4 with a range of abilities, and emphasis the importance of responsive and adaptive teaching in my lessons. In a observation by a senior leader at the Trust level, the overall strength was "Meeting the needs of the individual and providing bespoke tasks and well considered adaptive activities whilst maintaining ambition for all."

I contributed to the scheme of learning by producing shared resources and topic maps used by the department and have produced resources used by the whole school for wider learning.

In addition, I have engaged in helping colleagues with their professional development and have been mentor to a trainee and ECT. This has had a significiant impact on the development of my coaching strategies and to implement feedback that is constructive and supportive.
