Summary

Working within the sector of wellbeing and mentoring has always been something that I have been passionate about. I am relocating to Middlesbrough in the coming months and looking to widen my professional experience. Having worked at a Primary School within a Resource Base for SEN children with ADD, ADHD and Autism, I have gained a lot of experience working in a 1:1 support role with children who have such specific educational and social needs. My latest experience as a personal Wellbeing Practitioner for Catch 22 has provided me with integral experience in dealing with service users who have had challenges to face through the CJS and helping them reintegrate successfully. Furthermore, my experience as a mentor for ex-offenders provided me with experience and understanding of the importance of adults and young people having support after spending time in prison. I like to think of myself as an empathetic person, who is open-minded, understanding and up for a challenge. I have recently completed a Level 2 Counselling qualification with the Skills Network which has provided me with practical and theoretical knowledge on core counselling skills and how to effectively support and mentor others.
