I am a diligent and enthusiastic young man with an innate drive to flourish and succeed in any given environment. I can perform to a high standard when working independently and within any team-based scenario, as I am a highly focused and open-minded individual. I always listen to team members and will adapt and sacrifice for the benefit of others, helping to achieve the mutual aim of completing the set objective.
Throughout my life, I have always embraced the values of discipline and determination, helping me to develop a priceless ability to mirror these intrinsic values in professional fields, producing a tenacious individual who constantly wants to improve in every aspect of life.
In my role, I support the delivery of utility and topographical surveys across a range of infrastructure and development projects. This involves a combination of site-based work, using state-of-the-art surveying techniques to accurately locate and map underground utilities, and office-based work, where I process and interpret survey data using software such as AutoCAD and SCC. I contribute to producing clear and precise drawings and reports that support design, planning, and construction activities, ensuring safe and efficient project delivery to our clients.
Recently joined the young generation network, a 2,000-strong community of early-career professionals across the UK nuclear sector. The network provides opportunities for professional development, knowledge sharing, and collaboration through events, training, and outreach. As a member, I engage with peers and industry experts to expand my knowledge of the nuclear industry, build connections, and contribute to initiatives that promote innovation and sustainability within the sector.
Actively participated in regular in-person and online meetings designed to engage and represent young people in discussions around nuclear waste disposal. Collaborated with a diverse network of peers and industry professionals to develop strategies for improving youth engagement and awareness of nuclear waste issues. Contributed ideas on communication, outreach, and inclusivity, helping to shape initiatives that give younger generations a voice in long-term environmental and infrastructure challenges
I joined the Community Partnership to expand my knowledge of geological disposal and strengthen my connection to the nuclear industry. I gained valuable insight into the diverse public perspectives surrounding a potential GDF, while working alongside a team of passionate individuals committed to creating a safer, more sustainable environment for future generations.
I was selected by Innovia Films, Wigton, to take part in a one-week Science in Industry project, where I collaborated with colleagues on a scientific investigation. As part of the project, I produced both a written report and a PowerPoint presentation, which I delivered to Innovia staff. This experience strengthened my teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills, while also teaching me the importance of communicating ideas clearly and appreciating different perspectives
