• Ability to work quickly to keep production running as fast as possible.
• Physical stamina to load full bottles of wine into crates, 8 hours per day.
• Workplace initiative in finding other jobs to keep the production running smoothly.

Management of the yard and pasture throughout the year. Replacing paddock gates and fencepost for the horses. Operating and maintaining machinery and equipment (petrol strimmer, chainsaw, ride-on lawn mower) for maintenance of the land.

Skills gained:

• Ability to plan the tasks ahead of time- buying materials and checking equipment works.
• Problem solving to get jobs completed to a high standard.
• Aptitude to maintain equipment myself to keep cost down.
• Resilience to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Shown how the company uses its database to manage maintenance schedule of each aircraft. Checking parts on helicopters for wear and stress. Replaced the drive belt on a turbine camshaft in a helicopter.

Skills gained:

• Knowledge into the management of critical maintenance in an engineering company.
• Built confidence and improved technical and communicative skills from this experience.

• Vegetable and fruit picking and food preparation for Chimpanzees
• Refurbished enclosures and designed enrichment activities to stimulate the chimpanzees
• Taught lessons to children in the local school and helped with construction of the local village.

• Fed and groomed the cats
• Worked with a team to clean and re-bed enclosures.
