29 Years of teaching experience
l was a committed headteacher for a number of years. Having taken early retirement last year l would like to support pupils and intervention would be a great match for me. Making a difference and motivating pupils struggling with academic learning is my strength.
I would prefer my experience as a headteacher to be kept confidential as l know some schools may feel uncomfortable with a ex headteacher in their school.
I have also supported struggling schools and worked as a school improvement partner and mentor for new headteachers.
29 Years of teaching experience
I was a successful headteacher at Streatham Wells School since 2014 -the last OFSTED 2019 a section 5 inspection was recommended as outcomes in all areas were very strong and the school was expected to be graded outstanding. https://files.ofsted.gov.uk/v1/file/50053769
Challenge Partners inspection graded the school as 'leading' in all areas and we were identified as centre of excellence for the teaching of history and geography.
Although l loved being a headteacher i really put my heart and soul into the job and was ready to retire early. I do run a volunteer group of readers for the village school training and managing them to support children.
I always taught throughout my headship and especially loved intervention groups and working to improve the outcomes of children with special needs.
I am enjoying retirement but really miss working with children and feel l am still capable of working in education However, one day a week would suit me very well
