Biomedical Science with Anatomy graduate with extensive practical experience in human cadaveric dissection and anatomical preparation. Throughout my degree, I developed strong practical anatomical skills through regular dissection work, including microdissections as part of my dissertation. During my summer internship at the University of Aberdeen, I further developed these skills by dissecting a wide range of anatomical regions and preparing specimens for future teaching. I have an awareness of the ethical and legislative requirements surrounding human anatomical material, including the Anatomy Act, and understand the importance of careful handling, compliance and maintaining high standards of care. My current role as a Shift Manager at McDonald’s has strengthened my leadership, organisation, communication and problem-solving skills, while developing my ability to manage responsibilities effectively in a busy environment. I am now keen to apply my anatomical knowledge, practical experience and transferable skills within an anatomy technical role, supporting the preparation of teaching materials and contributing to high-quality practical teaching for staff and students.
