Testing to a wide variety of international standards including MIL STD 810, Def Stan 00-035, BS EN 60068. Testing includes IP, IK, temperature, humidity, altitude, drop and vibration. Vibration testing using LDS shaker systems utilising Data Physics control software for random, sine, shock, SRS and mixed mode vibration. High level shock using AVCO shock machine. Specific duties include health and safety representative for the business, ISO 17025 internal audits and looking after day to day running of the vibration equipment. Trained junior engineers and mentored apprentices, enhancing their skill set and knowledge base.

Worked as the Operations Manager for a civil engineering company based in Minehead, Somerset. Duties involved daily management of jobs over a wide area covering most of Somerset and Devon. In charge of writing RAMS for all works, ensuring operative training is up to date, including organising training dates and budgeting for these as well as being the first point of contact for any individuals or businesses looking for our services. IOSH qualified and the main first aider on site. Also organised plant hire and the logistics this involves, including filing waste transfer documents and invoices. Oversaw the hiring of managerial staff including shortlisting candidates, conducting initial telephone interview and collecting references.

Position involved running a large college laboratory and preparing practical experiments for students aged 13 - 18 as well as ensuring safe running of these experiments by showing teaching staff the correct use of chemicals and equipment. Also keeping track of the departmental budget, ordering chemicals, equipment and anything else required over the course of the academic year within this budget. Science department first aider, PAT test registered and kept track of health and safety in the eleven labs and two prep rooms in the department.

Assisting master glassblower James Adlington in his workshop at Porlock Weir. Mainly gathering glass, heating irons and preparing trails for more complex pieces; also covering in the nearby shop when not required in the workshop.
