I'm a second-year Music Business and Media student at the University of Brighton, currently seeking work experience or internships in PR within the music, media, or publishing industries. My interest in PR has grown through my university studies and a mentorship programme, where I've gained valuable insights from an experienced professional. I'm passionate about music and live events. Most of my spare time is spent discovering new music, attending gigs, and meeting new people. I've also organised a live music event myself, giving me hands-on experience in planning and promotion. I'm eager to learn, contribute, and build my experience in PR as I continue my studies.
A few friends and I revived an old events company and put on an almost sold out post-punk event at The Factory In Worthing (where punk is a rare sight). This gave me knowledge and understanding on starting an event from scratch, but also opened my eyes to all the other parts of putting on an event like advertising, promoting, organising, creating contracts, etc. Https://www.thefactorylive.co.uk/event/blackout
Worked with teens and adults with varying learning disabilities. Created gym plans and supported individuals to have safe and fun engaging gym sessions
I work shifts in between lectures and seminars. Mainly work twilight shifts which means I am put in charge of my other colleagues and tasked with getting objectives and jobs completed efficiently.
I took and packed customer orders and big orders from franchises like Harrods and Bert's. Was in the office with graphic designers and would often attend meetings for ideas. Helped create displays and booths for conventions
Amended incorrect orders, dealt with customer issues. Attended weekly management meetings. Worked as part of a 0-hour contract whilst at college
