• At Progress Rail Ltd. I worked alongside colleagues to enhance my knowledge and gain the practical experience needed to develop my skills further. This involved the manufacturing of products, which included, Supertram rails, cross rails, and weld rails on a CNC milling machine.
• My specific role at Progress Rail was as a machine operator on different machines, all of which were milling, and had varying abilities and product ranges.

• A multifunctional hospitality role responsible for supporting kitchen operations through food preparation and strict hygiene maintenance, delivering efficient and attentive table service, managing guest interactions with professionalism, and upholding high standards of cleanliness and organisation across all service areas to ensure coordinated operations and an exceptional guest experience.

Weeks timetable of engineering experience involving,

Monday- Taught the basics of workplace safety e.g safety equipment, correct use of machinery, safety procedure’s etc

Tuesday- I spent the day inspecting parts that had been manufactured ensuring product specifications were met.

Wednesday- spent the day finishing manufactured pieces via sanding and grinding and also shown the basics of laser welding.

Thursday- More in-depth training around the use of CNC machining.

Friday- Day in the office spending time on digital websites that design and create parts needed within the relevant workplace.
