Louie Byrne

I am a motivated and reliable year 12 student currently studying A-level Economics, Marketing and Psychology with a strong interest in the insurance and financial service industry. The stress on financial risk and interacting with customers on a day to day basis pulled my attention towards the insurance industry. My studies in Economics has developed my understanding of financial decision making and the risk assessments behind these decisions. On the other hand, my studies in psychology has allowed me to further understand customer behaviour which was further developed with my research in Marketing. I am eager to gain further experience within the financial sector and work hands on within a corporate company. Gaining vital connections with employees and potential employers will be my main goal which will give me an edge on achieving a desired apprenticeship.

• Throughout my life hobbies has played a vital role in how i behave on a day-to-day basis. Firstly, All through my childhood i played football which has made me develop key skills that can be transferrable in any workplace. Football made me not only understand the importance of a team but the communication within it. Having a confident personality i tended to be the captain of most teams I played in meaning my communication skills had to be the best out of everyone in my team. The competitive nature of football can cause leaders to get frustrated at players who are not performing as well as the rest but in my case i used it as an opportunity to uplift players to bring confidence in the whole team to reach the best result possible.
