Summary

As a medical student who is both assiduous and passionate, I find that these qualities allow me to both effectively lead and work cooperatively with others in a team. Previously having been a Corporal (cadet), part of the Air Training Corps, this enabled me in strengthen my leadership qualities with discipline and has presented me with excellent opportunities to work with others as a collective to accomplish crucial tasks. Following my experience of working in a pharmacy, I feel that I am an individual who is meticulous and proactive in responding to the evolving healthcare need as well as providing reliable advice to customers.

  • Working as a pharmacy assistant, I assist the licensed pharmacist in preparing and dispensing drugs to patients and healthcare providers
  • Not only do I verify that prescriptions are filled correctly and in a timely manner, I also interact with patients in delivering medications and completing other sales transactions
  • I receive, record, and store medication coming into the pharmacy
  • Additionally, I interact and complete customers' sales transactions for over-the-counter medications, as well as the selling of all other products within our store
  • This includes cosmetic products, toiletries, vitamins etc
  • My time working at the pharmacy was during the pandemic, meaning I also conducted both Antigen and PCR testing as well as providing certification of these results for customers to travel abroad with.

Affiliations

  • In my spare time, I enjoy playing the violin and I also am a violinist in two orchestras which are part of the Hounslow Music service. I had the privilege to play in many concerts, the most recent being in the Royal Festival Hall in London. For sports, I was part of many teams in school: Hockey, Netball, Rounders and Cricket, an currently I play both Netball and Cricket outside of university as well. Additionally, I was previously part of the Air Training Corps (RAF), a Cadet Corporal at 86 Squadron. The sport of both Rifle and Pistol shooting is a great passion of mine and I compete in numerous competitions annually.
