Outline of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing an understanding of the specific needs of each pupil in the class. Worked with SEN pupils, 1:1 support in primary autism base.
  • Worked with both verbal and non-verbal pupils in the primary autism base. Using appropriate resources to help support pupils with communication such as using symbols, communication books,and boards, class and personalised schedules etc. Currently working in semi-formal class.
  • Providing feedback about pupils to the teacher and other colleagues.
  • Providing support for teachers, ensuring smooth running of classroom activities.
  • Assisting the teacher with pupils' conduct and behaviour through positive interactions and implementing strategies.
