I'm a motivated Information Assistant with a proven ability to manage large datasets and lead the interpretation of complex data to draw useful conclusions. I'm skilled in turning data into clear, useful information that supports strategic and operational decision-making, meets statutory government requirements, and drives continuous improvement. My experience includes data interpretation, results analysis, and producing comprehensive reports as well as different forms of visualisation tailored to different user groups. I am eager to build on this foundation through the Data Science Graduate Apprenticeship programme, where I can strengthen my analytical and technical skills and I can immediately apply new knowledge to my current role. I'm excited to study at Heriot-Watt University as this will support my growth and help me deliver even greater value in my role.
As part of the Quality, Data and Intelligence Team I support the reporting, analysing and presenting of data to support planning, performance monitoring, and decision-making across Health and Social Care Services for Dundee. This involves working with different data systems and tools (Power BI, relational databases, case management and quality management systems) to create reports, dashboards, and visualisations. I work closely with colleagues from different organisations, including senior managers and clinicians, to make sure the right information is available and clearly presented. My role requires strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to explain complex information in a clear and understandable way. It also involves managing deadlines, supporting data quality, ensuring GDPR compliance and helping improve how data is used across the partnership.
