At University I am currently studying Forensic Criminology and Psychology, I am enjoying the course immensely, however it is not medical or scientific enough for me. Hence my decision to change direction and study Bioveterinary science instead.
I primarily come from a dental nurse background, which I enjoyed twenty plus years of employment and job satisfaction. I then had a change of direction and went into beauty therapy and nails. Life then changed direction and I became a mother again to my second child. Suddenly life took a dramatic change and my mother was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and dementia so I spent about five years nursing and supporting her, this is where my love of medicine and social care came from.
I also love animals especially cats and I have six of them. One short haired domestic tuxedo cat, and five adorable pedigree ragdoll cats. I have mum, dad and three of their siblings, they are my fur babies and are spoilt rotten.
