I currently work as a Regional Operations Manager gaining the position in 2018, working in an organisation that’s supports Adults with Learning disabilities, autism, dementia, end of life care and Complex health needs. I currently hold CQC registration for 74 supported Living services and a clinical service. I have oversight of 22 services within my portfolio ranging from supported living, residential care, Clinical supported Living and 24 hours Nursing residential care.
I recently opened a service which supports people within their own setting that requires medical interventions with tier 3 trained clinical workers.
I Manage a budget of 6.1 million which brought in a surplus of 8% the last financial year. I am active in tendering for new business and renewing, retaining existing contracts.
I have worked with 21 separate Local authorities and ICB’s, I focus on relationships and building trust with commissioners.
I am the operational digital Lead within our national organisation which involved researching, negotiating and tendering contracts for digital solutions and then rolling this out to over 2600 staff members.
I have 23 years continuous employment and have been part of 5 mergers.
I have an excellent track record history with CQC and have 20 years continuous CQC registration achieving 2 outstanding outcomes and have never fallen short of a Good ratings with Good for all five KLOES.
My vocation in life is to provide opportunities for happiness for others, to bring decision making closer to individuals, to promote and provide a high standard of support and care for others to lead happy and healthy life's.
Most recently I have taken staff teams through the Burgzorg model bringing decision making closer to individuals and developing training sessions based on trust, autonomy, transparency and adult to adult communications.
I am currently Chair of the Family Partnership Group, and have developed training for staff teams to be able to effectively communication with respect to relatives and help them in understanding what barriers there are and how to overcome them.
I am also the Digital Transformation Lead for Operations making sure operations are at the heart of decision making... It's been a busy couple of years!!
I have held a personal fixed term contract with Deborah Sturdy OBE Chief Nurse of England for Health and Social Care as a member of her Care and Nursing Advisory Board and have contributed to DHSC round tables and have represented DHSC as a judge of the Nursing Times Awards.
Registered Manager for 120 bed elderly care home in Sidcup. I can use transferable skills, however this is not my passion. I am looking for a more strategic and dynamic role.

As a service coordinator my role was to oversee management and operations of 16 services and line management of 4 registered Managers, whilst holding registration and managing 4 services of my own. I had to be well organised and available to support others efficiently and effectively. We created a great team spirit and advocated how peer support and trust was the key to a highly functional team.
My role was to oversee and be the registered manager to two services holding dual registration. My role was to oversee all operations within the registered care settings, making sure all polices were adhered to and to promote independence. During my registration I achieved a Excellent CQC rating by 2007 which would translate into Outstanding today.
I was promoted to Senior Support worker with 2 years, I really focused all efforts on the Mental capacity Act which came out in 2004, understanding and promoting this within my role and advocating choice for individuals.
During studying I worked at Mencap day centre on placement, I really enjoyed promoting others independence and really enjoyed interactions and inhibitions the role brought. I enjoyed supporting individuals to achieve their goals in all aspects of daily life. I enjoyed building personalised support around individuals it was an exciting time as the white paper had been published giving more rights to individuals and we was able to support them in promoting their rights.
I spent a small amount of time at this employment changing my career to work with people with Learning disabilities.
I started my Health and Social Care career volunteering as a 13 year old at the weekends, I was able to become a Junior Care assistant at 16 years of age and continued to study at the same time. I was promoted to Team leader at age 18 and was able to lead the shifts, always working in a person centred approach.
