Accomplishments

  • Between 1999 - October 2002, I was employed as an After Care's Officer for Barnardo's. I was also co-chair of Barnardo's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender staff and volunteer group and helped organise the first conference Barnardo's held for LGBT+ staff and volunteers. This involved booking a venue, creating an agenda, booking speakers and catering, applying for a budget and ensuring expenditure was within this budget.
  • Whilst working at Barnardo's, I also organised monthly displays within the workplace celebrating diversity.
  • Additional to my work as a Probation Officer, myself and a colleague developed a toolkit to use with domestic abuse perpetrators. We then provided training to colleagues on how to use this toolkit.
