I started my journey in education after completing a PGCE in General Primary teaching. It has been a rewarding and challenging journey. I love what I do and strive to make a positive and supportive impact on young ' lives as well as their carers. I have ten years of invaluable experience within different academic settings and I have developed the ability to promote positive learning environments where children thrive and feel safe. During this time, I have supported children with MLD, ADHD, ASD, auditory and processing issues as well as other additional needs. All children are unique and I relish the opportunities to work with them in groups and on an individual basis. My strength is building positive relationships with an dynamic and reflective approach. All support is tailored to the children's needs. I have developed excellent communication skills, not just with the children, but with parents, staff, Governors, Church leaders and the local community at Brindle.
In addition to this, I am a mum with a neurodiverse daughter and have seen, first hand, the positive impact of excellent quality mental wellbeing support. This has enabled me to appreciate the high and lows, the challenges and benefits other parents/carers must have when supporting their own child with additional needs. I want to help children to be the best they can be and provide strategies for coping with the challenges that the school environment and relationships may bring.
