Having worked within the community in various Community Development and Engagement, Volunteer Management and Service Lead roles in the third sector. I have broad and varied experience working in busy community centres, wellbeing hubs and CICs and community organisations for over 12 years. I have had many different roles in that time as the community has evolved and the needs have changed. I have worked with and supported vulnerable adults and children, with physical and mental health conditions, learning disabilities, neurodivergence and collaborated with the Local Authority and NHS. I understand that patience, empathy and kindness are valuable qualities to have within my role and my aim is to work therapeutically to meet the needs of the community and organisation I work for. I have a wide skill set which includes, juggling multiple tasks and working under pressure. Small bid writing, monitoring and identifying and applying for grants. Organising fundraising events and income generated activities. Monitoring and evaluations techniques to gather and report on success, need and impact. Exceptional planning, administration and organisation skills, particularly in staff management, implementation of management/leadership. Volunteer management, coordination of large quantities of volunteers which includes accessing training, feedback monitoring, Disclosure and Barring Service, interviewing and recruitment roles including volunteer recruitment, retention and advertising. Development of all staff, volunteers and supporting the wider team and organisation. I am a bubbly, social person who enjoys being part of something meaningful. I enjoy a challenge, work well under pressure, enjoy working in a team but am happy to work alone and use my initiative. I have a passion to create stronger families, stronger networks and communities.
