Lilli Fowkes

16 years old. An individual that has a strong foundation in communication, creativity, and leadership. Demonstrates skills in engaging with diverse groups through experience as a school tour guide and volunteer work. Recognised for creativity and innovation in drawing, acting, and musical composition. Proven reliability in managing tasks and activities, complemented by effective teamwork and organisational skills. Achieved notable leadership milestones, including bronze to platinum leadership badges and serving as an ethos leader. Committed to maintaining resilience in challenging situations, such as during DofE expeditions. Enthusiastic about challenging work and can adapt to different environments. Whilst also being motivated to complete work to the best of my capabilities.

I have a part-time job at Didcot Railway Centre. Working mostly on the weekends but can do that whenever I'm free so it isn’t fixed every week. I use the tills for both the ticket office and shop, interacting with members of the public as well. I also have experience dealing with/counting money.

Didcot Library, Library Volunteer, 2022-06, 2022-08, Supported the summer reading challenge, signed up children, and maintained book organisation.

• Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver Award: Leadership, outdoor skills, volunteering, and expedition.
• Music Grades: Cello (Grades 1-4 achieved).
• Attained the annual progress award for Mandarin 3 times throughout secondary school

Music: cello (Grade 4), flute, involved in school choirs and orchestras. 

Drama & Theatre: Participated in school productions and external drama groups (Jigsaw, HAMS). 

Dance: Irish dancing; teaches younger children. 

Climbing & Bouldering: Regular indoor climbing for fitness. 

Reading: I enjoy how books have the ability to transport you into immersive stories and adventures, an experience that is often more engaging and enjoyable than in real life. They serve as a form of escape, sometimes for hours at a time. I particularly like books that hold elements of mystery, as they create a sense of intrigue: the unknowns, with unexpected twists and turns, makes it difficult to lose interest and makes me emotionally engaged which helps me to care about the characters' perspectives and the plot.  Leadership: Ethos leader, responsible for supporting younger students and organising activities.

To further study Mandarin at university and pursue a career involving business, trade, utilising language skills and historical knowledge.
