A driven, dependable and hardworking individual after serving 6 years in the British Army with the Royal Engineers; with many skills and qualities including working as a part, or leading a highly trained team, with great communication skills. These characteristics, together with drive,strength of mind and being a systemic thinker make it easier to work well under pressure in any conditions. During my time in the Army and my current/past roles in Mini Plant Oxford, I have learnt to be very adaptable and can work alone with high productivity, or in a team with no issues. I take a huge deal of pride with the work that I get tasked and will always complete them to the best of my ability and will never cut corners.
In my role at the Oxford facility, I am tasked with managing the logistics operations, with a particular focus on the deployment and management of automated systems to enhance the flow of materials. My contributions are vital in ensuring the seamless operation of our logistics network, which is integral to the plant's operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
STR Management: We oversee the operation of 13 Smart Transport Robots delivering four commodities, coordinating their tasks to ensure timely and efficient delivery of parts within the manufacturing process.
ATS Operation: To manage the Autonomous Transport System, prioritising operational safety and ensuring a consistent and reliable workflow.
Maintenance: We are responsible for scheduling and conducting regular maintenance checks on our logistics equipment to minimise downtime and maintain high operational standards. Also use share point to raise jog requests. Another main focus of this is to increase performance and longevity or the equipment.
Performance Tracking: To analyse logistics data to monitor system performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
On Time Delivery: We act as the courier for our commodities, so we work closely with R&H to ensure sequencing of parts and on time delivery.
In this role, I am committed to upholding a high standard of efficiency in our logistics operations, which plays a crucial role in the success of the Oxford plant.
This role is vital to the area in terms of its facilities availability and performance, we work together with maintenance to configure a TPM schedule outside of their PMs for 14 facilities. Our other main roles as an MC is data collection and manipulation for fault finding and prevention, creating communication channels with different departments for support. I am also cover machine controller for APU 8 (Fluid fill) & APU 1 (Sunroof seal)
