Work history

Missionary

YWAM
Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Austrailia
2025.09 - 2026.02

I studied in Austrailia through Youth With A Mission, after 3 months of studying how to train and disciple other we were sent to Uganda for 2 and a half months to reach the people over there and talk about God. This was an amazing experience and very rewarding, working with translators to help the growth of the people and schools of Uganda.

  • Encouraged active community involvement with volunteer work opportunities at the church.
  • Promoted peace and unity through regular sermons.
  • Travelled extensively for missionary work, spreading faith and hope.

Sales Executive

Alncom-Alnwick
2025.03 - 2025.04
  • I received my full sales training and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, my partner at the time was very sick, and I had to legally become a full-time caregiver for her. This meant I was no longer able to continue to work a normal job.

Teaching assistant in special educational needs

AK Teaching-Morpeth
2023.10 - 2024.03
  • I was through an agency in 6 separate schools. The Pupils had added challenges in their lives, such as autism, ADHD, ADD, in care, behavioural issues and much more.
  • I would help all ages with all different personal/special needs to help them achieve in their education and life outside of school.
  • I would guide students aged from 6 years old to 18 years old with various learning disabilities. I also worked in schools that were used as a final chance of education; here, students were convicted or waiting to be convicted of crimes. These children and young adults had some of the worst upbringings imaginable and lacked guidance or parents to steer them right. This was a very rewarding job, but it can also be very unsettling.

Head Groundsman

Warkmill Holiday Park -Morpeth
2023.08 - 2023.11
  • In my time working for Warkmill Holiday Park, I was the leader of the ground maintenance. I used my teamwork and leadership skills to change the park from a rundown site to a new and improved family holiday park.
  • I would assist in the park shop and sell and advise on certain items of interest.
  • My main work at the park was using a ride-on grass cutter, strimming, ground planning, landscaping, laying concrete and all maintenance around the site to make it the best it could be for all our customers. I would interact with the customers daily and always be here for support if they needed anything. From past experiences in grounds work I was able to do this job very well confidently.

Prison Custody Officer

HMP Northumberland-Morpeth, Northumberland
2021.09 - 2023.08
  • After my time as an Operational Support Officer, I was granted an opportunity to be promoted to a Prison Custody Officer (PCO). After 10 weeks of intense training, I graduated into my new role. My job was to initially live on the house blocks with the prisoners and support them with their rehabilitation process.
  • I would unlock the prisoners and work with them through the day, and work with my team to keep them under control. I would be involved in cell searches, prisoner escorting, cell fire evacuations, intense mental health situations and physical altercations. My time as a PCO was very rewarding when helping the prisoners be able to see a straight and narrow path and supporting them with their mental health struggles while being within the prison system.

Operational Support Officer

HMP Northumberland-Morpeth, Northumberland
2020.02 - 2021.09
  • I had the pleasure of being given an officer's job in HMP Northumberland, my main job as an operational Support officer was making sure the prison's security was at its highest standard. I would sensor all mail and phone calls to and from the prison, walk the fence line to protect it from damage or contraband being thrown over it. I also operated CCTV for the entire prison and was always alert in case of any incidents. My main job was communications, I would be the main controller where every radio transition had to come through me first, I would respond to any physical violence, any fire alarms, suspicious activity and be the voice of anything that the prison officers needed to know. Another role in the job was to monitor the prisoners' visits on CCTV and be sure to stop any passes of contraband between the visitors and the prisoners.

Fencing Labourer

Northumbria fencing-Morpeth
2020.01 - 2020.01
  • I was a garden fence labourer, using my skills from previous jobs to take on the challenges that it offered. I would have a lot of customer interactions and enjoyed finding work through advertisements, door-to-door sales and everyday public interactions. A lot of fences we were doing at the time had been destroyed by bad storms, so it was a great feeling to have when I knew we were helping them make their houses a home again.

Ground Maintenance

Park Leisure (amble)-Amble
2019.01 - 2020.01
  • I was a part of a grounds maintenance team at a well-known company here in England called Park Leisure holiday park in Amble. My jobs and responsibilities were all grounds work, such as grass cutting the entire park, bordering around the outside of the mobile homes, using a tractor to transport the mobile home from the entrance to their new area within the park, laying concrete that would withstand the weight of a mobile home and laying slabs and patios for access around the gardens. I was also the cleaner, so I would use a power washer to clean the homes. Other skills I learned were the plumbing of the mobile homes and how to connect them to the main system. I also built decks for the mobile homes once they were sited.
  • The other side of working here was the customer service and social side of the job. I would be working with customers and fulfilling their wants and needs, always being professional and always being adaptable to whatever jobs may be ahead. I would wave and speak to all customers every day and build good, positive relationships with them.

Surfing Instructor

Northside Surf-Amble
2018.01 - 2019.01
  • Duties include teaching people of all ages and abilities to surf and stand-up paddleboard. I was always on standby for rescues when things went bad and had to always be at the highest level of awareness. I also had the chance to help students with additional needs get in the water and help them understand the power of the sea. My most rewarding time here was being able to teach two non-swimming teens with Down syndrome. It wasn’t the easiest but being adaptable and safe is essential in this job.
  • The other side of my work here was working in the shop, selling surfboards, wetsuits and lessons. I would stay up to date with the latest trends in surfing and use this knowledge to support my sales.

Fencing Contractor

Cheviot Countryside Contracting
2017.01 - 2018.01
  • In my role here, I would build all kinds of fences. I mainly built stock fences for farms to keep their animals separated, but I also built some garden fences. Physically, this is the hardest work I have done, but I immediately fell in love with the job of fencing. I love to be outside and use all types of heavy and light machinery to get the job done.

Landscape worker

Montgomery County Construction and Landscaping
Montgomery, Texas, USA

Through out my teen years and early 20s i would go to texas for a few months at a time and volenteer at a landscaping company. We worker in a very high up Golfing estate recreating gardens for clients.

  • Trimmed overgrown shrubs, resulting in neat and tidy landscapes.
  • Maintained pristine condition of public parks by regular mowing, pruning and fertilising.
  • Assisted in creating landscape designs for transforming dull outdoor spaces into attractive exterior environments.
  • Built various outdoor structures for enhancing the aesthetic appeal of gardens.

Kitchen Porter

The Sun Inn-Warkworth, UK
2016.01 - 2017.01
  • This was the job I had while I was studying in college. I would be preparing desserts, putting the itinerary orders in, washing dishes and maintaining high health and safety standards in the kitchen. I gained a lot of experience here, working in a fast-paced environment for the most popular hotel in our area. We held many weddings and parties that required a lot of late/early morning finishes. Being efficient, fast and consistent were the most important parts of this job.

Junior Soldier

Parachute Regiment, Army Foundation College
2015.01 - 2015.01
  • When I was 15 I followed my dream of joining the British army, the teaching I learned from the army were unforgettable and helped shape the reliable, punctual and professional person that I am today, both within and outside of work. The characters we were moulded into focus on the 6 following core values of the British army. Courageous, disciplined, respectful of others, integral, loyal and have selfless commitment in everything we do. This involved the full British army training and the harsh reality of it. Unfortunately, I was discharged due to medical issues I developed after my training.

A bit about the prison

HMP Northumberland is a prison that was originally two prisons but was joined together a few years ago. The Prison holds 1400 prisoners, split between main prisoners and vulnerable prisoners. Main prisoners would have charges between Unpaid fines and multiple murders. While the vulnerable prisoners were at risk of being harmed by other prisoners or had sexual or child sexual charges against them. Every day, I had to adapt to every prisoner and their behaviours.
