Liam Murray

As a retail assistant I had many responsibilities that I always completed to a high standard. I made sure I learned quickly and effectively, being able to learn new skills in little time and made sure these new skills fit the companies brand standards. Some of these responsibilities of mine are as followed.

• Assisted customers with product inquiries and provided tailored recommendations.
• Maintained cleanliness and organisation of sales floor to enhance shopping experience.
• Operated point-of-sale system efficiently to process transactions and handle cash.
• Collaborated with team members to restock shelves and ensure product availability.
• Organised proper waste management and date check systems

In July of 2024 I had qualified for the Level 3 Retail team leader apprenticeship. I gladly took on this challenge and was promoted to the position of Retail supervisor. Throughout the course of my apprenticeship I developed key skills in management and retail leadership. I was able to lead my team and achieved the day to day tasks set by the company as well as complete the weekly learning tasks set by Inspiro learning, the apprenticeship company. This helped expand my understanding of the retail sector and developed crucial time management skills. In October of 2025 I passed the apprenticeship with a distinction and now I am a qualified retail team leader .

• Supervised daily operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Trained and mentored new team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Managed inventory levels, coordinating restocking and minimising product shortages.
• Implemented merchandising strategies, enhancing visual displays to attract customers.
• Building a positive connection between customers and the brand by assisting with customer quires and complaints.
• Managed the tills and safe as well as taking cash collections and organising the banking off the branch
