Vehicle Assessment Technician

RAC (formerly AA)
Blackbushe, Hampshire
07.2013 - 09.2022
  • As a Vehicle Assessment Technician for The RAC my job was to provide a quality, professional and effective assessment of clients vehicles against pre-specified criteria. The main part of my job was to find faults with the clients vehicles to give an accurate representation of their value to the clients customers.
  • Through this job I: improved my ability to work independently and as part of an on site team, promoted the RAC and its services by projecting an efficient and professional image at all times and utilised my ability to work on site without direct supervision from a line manager.
  • In 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic I was seconded into the role of team leader, which is effectively a site manager role. This secondment was very well received amongst my colleagues and peers as well as senior management within both my company and our client. The secondment was only ever temporary, however following on from it senior management expressed their wish to enrol me onto their leadership programme once a suitable position is available.

Assistant Surveyor

Dene Tech Services Ltd
Medstead, Hampshire
09.2012 - 06.2013
  • In this role I would assist in the accurate surveying of underground cabling and drainage systems including both sewage and storm drainage systems
  • For the majority I was working in a two man crew with there sometimes being the need for working in a larger crew, this would be the case for larger operations
  • I always maintained a professional standard with both my approach and appearance when carrying out this job, I feel that this is especially important as the majority of work was carried out on public roads and footpaths
  • This job required me to stay away from home a lot of the time as the work was situated all over the country, including for two weeks working in Ireland. This was a four week assignment however due to collaborative working myself and my colleagues went above and beyond to complete all the work to the correct standard within two weeks. This was very well received by both my employer and the client.
