After my career change over a year ago I have relished the experience I have made in finance and have learnt a lot both through my job roles and studies. I am determined to succeed and progress quickly and prove to be an asset and investment for your business going forward.
I am an extremely reliable and hard working individual seeking an ambitious, well run organisation with great long term prospects for us both to succeed. AAT level 3 Qualified.
Responsible for daily transactional accounts for Ethical Power Ltd. Duties include:
I began my finance career working in a busy purchase ledger department consisting of 5 team members within a larger Finance team. We were responsible for the accounts payable side of Sparex UK, as well as 7 other subsidiaries and our Manufacturing arm Spenco.
After training in accounts and gaining my AAT qualification, I decided to relocate because of an opportunity to gain (voluntary unpaid) work experience in an accounts department in a respected golf club. I worked primarily in the purchase ledger department and reported directly to the accounts manager.
As a customer service manager it was my duty to perform duty supervisor tasks within our 3 shop marketplace. It was my role to establish a report with our customers and upsell promotions as well as our loyalty products. Aside from customer service functions I was also responsible as duty manager to perform cash management duties, ensuring all cash is accounted for, as well as investigating cash differences and reporting daily figures.
On a day to day basis I was responsible for taking and paying out bets to our customers, whilst complying with GDPR and responsible gambling laws ensuring our customers are in control and safe, reporting concerns if necessary. Being vigilant of the shop floor, making sure money laundering practices are not being performed keeping the shop clean and tidy. Alongside the shop manager it was also our role to monitor and drive weekly promotions in order to hit KPI's and communicating progress regularly to the area manager.
As Bar manager I performed opening, closing and shift change functions to maintain operational standards each day whilst serving food and beverages in a polite and welcoming manner. I maintained detailed inventory of bar supplies and stocked work areas ensuring wastage is low and efficiency is sustained. I worked with the clubhouse manager to keep up to date with the latest trends in customer tastes and implemented promotions accordingly.
Mixed and served both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for customers by following standard procedures and serving in friendly, polite manner. It was also necessary to follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests due to local beer festivals and proximity to the beach.
I operated on both the shop floor, maintaining stock levels on shelves and assisting with customer enquiries, as well as on the POS system serving customers and taking payments. Ensured think 21 procedure is in place to prevent underage people purchasing alcohol or cigarettes.
