D&P Technician working in a team within a safety critical, high risk working environment. I have experience in conducting reactive and proactive maintenance on both Plant and HV equipment and associated systems, such as;

  • Maintenance of HV switchgear - (SMOS, Siemens 8DA11, SF6/VCB, ASG
  • Testing of HV switchgear - Pressure testing, profiling, partial discharge testing, ductor testing
  • Maintenance of HV transformers - Partial discharging testing, oil sampling
  • SCADA system maintenance - Testing function of remote control and alarms, liaising with control room to to assess and monitor asset condition and fault finding any potential alarms.
  • Proactive standby generator maintenance ranging from non intrusive to intrusive maintenance. Duties can involve mains failure testing to ensure correct and sufficient operations of the standby power system.
  • Safety critical communications duties carried out regularly, ensuring an adherence to Network Rail safety standards and procedures.
