I joined Busseys in January 2024, initially working in a site that focused exclusively on used vehicles, following the transition of the Peugeot franchise to Thurlow Nunn. After taking time to settle in and build strong relationships with the team, I dedicated the next four months to understanding the intricacies of the motor trade and developing the skills essential for long-term success in the industry.


In May 2024, Busseys announced an exciting new partnership with BYD, an emerging electric vehicle brand in the UK. In preparation for our official franchise launch in June 2024, I took the initiative to research BYD’s history, values, and product lineup in my own time. I also immersed myself in learning the new car sales process, which differs significantly from used car sales. This included mastering factory order logistics, lead times, finance options, promotional offers, and the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) process.


My focus has always been on delivering a customer experience that is transparent, informative, and memorable—from the first appointment to the final handover. My commitment to excellence is reflected in numerous 5-star Trustpilot reviews and consistently high Net Promoter Scores (NPS).


Over the past 16 months in the motor trade, I’ve learned just how vital the customer experience is—whether someone is buying their first car or their twentieth. My goal is to ensure that every customer leaves the dealership feeling confident, valued, and comfortable enough to return at any time, knowing they’ll always receive the same level of professionalism, care, and attention to detail.


I’ve also come to understand the power of customer loyalty. When I provide a positive, memorable experience, clients are far more likely to return for future purchases—and often bring friends and family with them. A single great interaction doesn’t just lead to one sale—it can open the door to many more.


As part of my role at Busseys, I’m responsible for evaluating customer part exchanges and providing fair, transparent valuations. I also handle negotiations—both on part exchange values and on the pricing of vehicles and any additional extras. I approach every interaction with honesty and clarity, helping to build trust and ensure the entire car-buying process feels smooth and stress-free for the customer.


I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Busseys and am proud of the way I’ve been able to translate my strong customer service background into the motor trade. I’m excited to continue growing in this industry and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.
