  • I have recently qualified from, Golborne high school.
  • During my education I had lots of responsibilities and achievements within this time. From Year 8 I was recognised for my great communication and attitude that this could help others so I became a Buddy for younger pupils. This gave me the chance to encourage and help others transition into high school role. Moving into year 9 my responsibilities continued to grow and I became forming Captain. This included giving my teachers support in setting classes up and marking the register to ensure all pupils were present. I was proud I had been chosen to take this extra responsibility. I then moved onto Year 10 where I was given the opportunity to join the school council. I put my name forward and a statement detailing why I wanted this extra role and why I was a good fit. I was then shortlisted where my year group voted for me to become our representative for our year. We held weekly meetings with the school board on what we could improve in our school and we assisted in school assemblies with speeches to the whole school school. I then continued my growth on my final year and was elected a Prefect in year 11. I put myself forward for this again as my greatness was striving and I had to have an interview on why I wanted this and what I could help with. I was becoming good at these by now. My tasks included patrolling and securing the school during break times to ensure pupils were in the correct places. We also focused more on the year group activities such as school trips, parties and contributed with idea's on these. Towards our final months of school we helped train the new prefects who would be stepping into this role from Year 10 into Year 11.
  • Having numerous responsibilities in school this helped me with confidence, time-keeping and communication to others.
  • I was recognised by my peers for demonstrated respect, always being friendly and kind and my willingness to help wherever needed.
