As a current EVEMS EV Calibration Technician and HV Area Lead, my role in Ford within the calibration team is, fault finding and debugging prototype vehicles. This includes keeping our fleet of development vehicles on the ‘road’ for testing purposes. Managing the fleet in terms of shipping operations from test facilities and vehicle logistics. As part of my role I support calibration test trips which includes calibrating development vehicles Powertrain SW, debugging and maintenance while on trip. I also support Prototype pilot plant build phases, where my responsibility is to debug, diagnose and rectify issues on prototype builds including controls commissioning sign off before the vehicles are then shipped to various customer (internal) for testing. My skill set varies from hands on experience to electrical and SW diagnosis and debugging. Within the role I also manage store items including prototype parts, production parts and rapid build parts. I manage these parts under my ownership including shipping and receiving from facilities. As part of my HV Area lead role within Dunton I lead all designated area specific High Voltage items including:

• Forecast of HV voltage workload and facility changes
• Lead any new HV equipment within the area
• First draft of local procedures with the workshop
• Work along side Level 3 HV Engineers in order to write procedures, diagnose, debug HV components on development vehicles
• Shipping, containment of HV components including HV battery packs

As a previous Ford Master Technician, my role in the Ford dealership is primarily a diagnostic technician. On a day to day basis I problem solve and rectify faults on customer vehicles. In doing so I liaise with Ford engineers and technical experts within Ford motor company in order to diagnose, isolate and rectify the customers concern as efficiently and affective as possible. I also support management in supervision of the workshop and warranty aspect of the dealership.
