I was employed at the port of tilbury 4/12/1989 as a trainee cargo handler and eventually become fully trained on every part of port machinery within 1 year . I regretfully took redundancy in 1997 due to myself and my wife trying to conceive a child through IVF which unfortunately never happened ! This put a great strain on my work and personal life . There’s not a month goes by that I regret leaving ! My old payroll number was 00191 I’m not sure if all my skills are still listed on there or if the number still exists ! I’m 56 years old now and would love to get back into the port environment many thanks lewis Seales
