I had a good month of getting back into industrial work, getting used to containment again, making of armoured cables and being able to comfortably overcome problems.

I left BVEC in search of going back to industrial/commercial work. I had a lot of private work such as rewires and kitchen extensions that I completed by myself whilst trying to find a secure job.

Within my time at BVEC electrical I started of working on a hotel for 8 months to which I learnt new skills such as containment and ability to understand more complex drawings and schematics. I picked up commercial/industrial work easily with my ability to problem solve and use initiative. After my time at the hotel I put my previous skills to the test and I ran a new build site of 40 houses as the head electrician to which I truly became a leader and had my own team to organise and be able to successfully handover plots without any issues. When I finished my time running a new build site my company got a solar contract to which they wanted me to be the electrician in the company to start this for them I then learnt how to install solar systems, on and off grid with battery storage.

Within my 3 years at cavanna homes I learnt all aspects of domestic electrical work this consisted of testing, 2nd fixing and 1st fixing. by my 2nd year I was comfortable wiring houses on my own and being left alone for weeks on sites completing handovers, 2nd fixing and 1st fixing plots.
