INTERESTS AND HOBBIES

I strive to improve in all I do, I competed in the Oxford University administered British Physics Olympiad in addition to; but supporting my core studies, where I achieved a commendation., My competitive nature is shown by an enjoyment of performing under pressure in competitive rugby, having held captaincy of consecutive school teams leading to national cup success and attained a sports leadership Baccalaureate. I actively compete in a range of sports at different clubs including football, boxing and mixed martial arts whilst also competing in Burton’s Pool League. These activities have allowed me to further my personal skills including my work ethic, my communication and my ability to effectively collaborate with other people to achieve a desired goal., I also like spending time in the gym to keep fit and healthy and I find relaxation by reading non-fiction, particularly Henry Petroski.

WORK EXPERIENCE SUMMARY

  • The Boat Inn, Part time job at a Michelin Star restaurant, I enjoyed being part of team delivering quality products and service. I took an active part in team briefings ensuring everyone has a clear understanding of their delegated roles, in order to reduce error and maintain extremely high standards, as this reflects my own drive for excellence.
  • Coton House Farm, Events assistant, During the sixth form summer recess, I worked at Coton House Farm as an events assistant, using organisation and time management skills, helping compile staff rotas and arranging wedding events. I enjoyed refining processes for events, adapting a plan to achieve the most efficient outcome based on team feedback.
