• Continuing my role as a sub-contractor working at HMRC in the CDS Live Support team after transferring to Cognizant's permanent staff

• Completed three months of specialised training to transition to a Data Engineer role, subsequently deployed to Cognizant and later subcontracted to HMRC.

• Collaborated in an agile team using Git and Jira, contributing effectively to project delivery.

• Independently developed data pipeline functionality for handling large volumes of customs data through ingestion, transformation and warehousing.

• Ensured code quality by writing comprehensive tests and conducting thorough code reviews.

• Transitioned to the Live Support team, overseeing production code deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of existing data pipelines.

• Member of a small team working on two web apps: one for clients to view and book trainees, the other for staff administrative tasks.

• Utilised Git and Jira in an agile environment to develop React and Typescript functionality for the apps.

• Independently handled tickets, wrote unit tests for full code coverage, conducted code reviews, and deployed code to production.

• Built a recruitment page enabling staff to review course applications and automate candidate advancement/rejection based on certain criteria

• Three and a half month intensive training programme covering the core modules JavaScript Fundamentals, Software Design and Software Development as well as a Team Engineering Project
• These modules covered all aspects of the software development lifecycle with a strong emphasis on Test-driven development and the principles of Object-oriented programming
• Created a mock Twitter app as the final individual challenge of the course, combining everything taught throughout it into a full-stack web application using. For the team project, our task was to design and implement an app for tracking and managing prospective trainees' applications. These were built using NodeJS, Java, Postgres and React.
