As a Senior Shift Manager I have the responsibility of running a successful shift of 24 team members with the aim of achieving maximum output within customer specification across three paper machines, whilst promoting a positive Health and Safety culture.

This includes ensuring all downtime is kept to a minimum through sharing best practices, utilizing good problem solving skills to establish the root cause of production defects or machine runability issues. Also implementing corrective actions to any issues which have a negative impact on productivity.

I have proven track record of identifying talent and building a strong team who have improved in all areas of productivity across the paper machines.

• I have undertaken the Teamleader role on PM3 for more than five years.
• This has been a position that has allowed me to gain a vast amount of experience in the papermaking process as well as leading a successful team
• This role has required me to be a good problem solver to keep the asset running to maximum efficiency

• To increase my theoretical knowledge of the papermaking process, I enrolled onto the Apprenticeship program that Kemsley were offering where I was attending Gernsbach Paper Centre Germany and completed the Paper technologist course
• During this time I attended a number of placements at different parts of Kemsley including; Stock preparation, De-inking plant and PM3 giving me a good oversight of the requirements across site

• I was temporarily promoted to Dryman on PM3 which I enjoyed and allowed me to take ownership of the role and gain valuable experience in a key operators position.

• I was working as an Assistant Dryman on PM3 for 6 years and during this time have undertook the Dryman's role (due to sickness cover) for a year.
• My main duties were to test the paper for the quality specified and to assist the Dryman whenever needed.
• While doing this role I gained a good understanding of the machine and the requirements of a Dryman to maintain an efficient process.

• I started working at Kemsley on the winders as a Corecutter where my main duties were to cut cores for both winders and assist in the running of both winders on PM3 and 4 whenever needed.
• During this time I trained as an Assistant Dryman with a view of progressing as soon as possible

General laborer for a pipe laying company that under took all work within the landfill industry.

Mainly pumping systems to contain leachate within the landfill boundary as well as methane collection systems which would be burnt to generate electricity to grid.

• Enthusiastically picked up various labouring and construction tasks across site to aid team success.
