I have developed many skills throughout my job experience, lifeguarding taught me to maintain professionalism within high stress and critical situations, whilst also needing a extreme focus on a facility.
Through being a bartender, I have also developed the skills of being friendly and outgoing, to keep a creating a outstanding customer service. Having keep communication and have a high standard of multitasking and professionalism.
This was a agency work that got provided to me. And this was waking up at early hours of the day, to drive to certain houses to instal kitchen appliances such as washing machines, fridges and ovens.
It was mandatory to be able to do some heavy lifting, but also work as a team, as moving large appliances around does require two people to move it around.
The job also required efficiently, as doing a large quantity of deliveries needs to be done in a certain day, it requires speed and efficacy to be able to unbox and fit these appliances.
Being a bartender requires to learn and adapt throughout the day and the job itself. As being able to pour a drink is one thing, being able to perfect every order in a rush hour is another.
Custer service is held at a very high standard when being a bartender, as it encourages you to engage with customers, but also remain professional and welcoming, this is because you are the face of the bar, this means you have to give perfect customer service in order to keep customers coming back.
This position is not all about talking to customers whilst their drink is being poured, but also behind the scene every glass must be cleaned and polished, after hours of closing everything must be in check, re-stocked and surfaced must be cleaned.
This required producing a controlled and safe environment for all rage of people, developing a sense of certainty for everyone within the pool.
It also means as a lifeguard to managed general cleaning duties around the pool in order to keep a safe, and clean area for customer enjoyment, and safety.
As a lifeguard, it is extremely important to be able to work individually with certain problems, and also have very efficient team skills, as stressful situations could effect someone's life, if not having individual problem solving, but also professionalism with teamwork.
