When i was employed by E.ON i was employed a Specials Meter Reader. The roll was to work by appointment within a 4 hour window. I covered the whole of the South Lakes, North Lancshire and North Yorkshire. This role was going to customers homes who had incorrect electric and gas bills and finding the problem.

I did this role until September 2020.

The whole metering team was then Tupe transfered to Morrsion Data Services who took on the metering contract.

Im now just a standard meter reader going from door to door reading Gas and Electric meters whilst doing a visual safety instepection.

From Jan 2000 to October 2004 I worked for a local firm who had just started up as a small business. I started off working in the small office we had in Windermere. Answering telephone calls off the 3 lads we had out in the field, i looked after the stock room and sent them out the equipment that they needed. As the firm grew we moved to a bigger property in kendal, after 18 months we ended up getting the main contract for maintaining the whole of the UK's refrigeration for Marks and Spencers. As the firm got bigger i ended up been a delivery driver for the company. I went all over the UK. In 2002 my boss suggested that i should get more involved and enrolled me onto a Apprentice Electricians course at Carlisle college, I did the course for 18 months and my boss decided to close the company and left for Australia leaving us all unemployed. We later found out that he has enormous debts. No one has seen his since.
