Lee Holt

A Police Sergeant with 27 years service retiring from policing at the end of 2025. Entire service spent on uniform front line leading to extensive communication skills, problem solving and an ability to stay calm in a wide range of situations. Vast experience of team working, community and partnership working and safeguard principles. Last 6 years of service spent within Community policing focusing heavily on anti social behaviour problems involving children and diversionary options available to them. Extensive work with schools, parents and youth justice to better understand the child. Strong at working unsupervised and decision making. Personally supervised and implemented the "mini police" scheme into Derbyshire police and worked hands on in the classroom with Primary school children over numerous years. Self driven to learn and expand knowledge and experience and have worked voluntarily at several local schools over a number of years. Spire Junior, Chesterfield; Sir Edmund Hillary Primary, Worksop; Brookfield Primary, Shirebrook; Athelstan Primary, Sheffield. Assisted in Maths and English and proficient in SATs content. Also assisted with target language of Spanish and physical education. Been involved in numerous overnight residential school trips predominantly involving outdoor pursuit activities developing a strong sense of risk management specific to children.
