- My role is really varied at Hilti working in the warehouse and with customs.
- Responsibilities: One part of my work is in Hilti's Central Warehouse for GB and Ireland, located in Carrington. I work with the different processes involving the inbound replenishment of inventory to the outbound shipping of deliveries. The main challenges are to ensure that all inbound materials are received and put away every day and every customer order is fully shipped every day and on time together with the warehouse team.
- Working in inbound involves receiving docks, process the material from the inbound trucks as well as varied forklifts to put away material and pick orders. I have worked at the packing stations to pack the products and prepare the shipment, have been involved in picking and packing of Hilti Centre replenishment orders. You will participate in daily cycle counts and investigate the differences with Distribution and fully commit and support all LEAN initiatives through maintaining standards, participating in Continuous Improvement processes, and driving the business.
- Additionally, I must work closely with the rest of the warehouse team and Distribution to help resolve any issues or complete specific customer requirements. The second part of my role is to work remotely working with large amounts of customer data in excel and extracting the required information for customs for the Trader support service whilst adhering to GDPR standards. All tasks involving using MS office, teams, outlook, SAP and good communication skills across all channels.

- My role at Bridge care was to provide a high standard of support and safety to the clients to help them live independently in their own homes. I would assist clients with day-to-day tasks such as helping them get out of bed in the morning, assist them in washing and dressing, make breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper and help them back to bed a night.
- Some clients had more requirements than others and I would have to work with another carer for a double up when we would need to use specific equipment like hoists.
- Throughout my time at Bridgecare I attended extensive training courses in moving and handling, food and hygiene, health and safety and fire awareness.
