As a salesperson executive specialising in roofing, windows, and roughcasting, I was responsible for guiding clients through the full sales process from initial consultation to final purchase This involved clearly and confidently explaining product features, benefits, and technical details to help clients make informed decisions based on their property needs and budget. I conducted thorough home inspections to assess requirements, identify potential issues, and recommend the most suitable solutions tailored to each property.
In addition to generating and managing leads, I followed up with prospective clients to build strong relationships and maximise conversion rates. When I was younger, I was part of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets for 6 years before progressing to the RAF University Air Squadron for 3 years. In a military setting is where I developed invaluable skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, and organisation which I believe set me up for life. In early 2025, I returned to the RAF Air Cadets as an instructor, where I now take great pride in mentoring and teaching the next generation, helping them build confidence and learn essential life skills.
I have had a strong interest in First Aid from a young age and have achieved multiple qualifications over the years, including certification as a First Aid Instructor. For the past year and a half, I’ve been an active volunteer on the GoodSAM app; a platform that connects qualified First Aiders with nearby medical emergencies. During this time, I have responded to nearly 20 emergency calls, developing valuable skills in managing high-pressure situations and maintaining calm, effective communication on scene.
Recently, I was invited to become an official Community Responder. In my time as a first aider, I’ve received positive feedback from paramedics and emergency teams for my efforts in supporting them and the public during critical moments. While not every situation leads to a perfect outcome, I’m proud to contribute my time and training to help others and make a meaningful difference in my community.
During my time with the RAF Air Cadets, I was honoured to be named the Best Female Cadet in Scotland for two consecutive years. I was awarded a prestigious RAF flying scholarship for 12 hours of flying where I subsequently ranked in the top 1% out of over 30,000 cadets nationally for flying ability. This led to me receiving a RAF Charitable Trust scholarship to complete my full Private Pilot’s Licence at just 18 years old, achieved within an intensive 7-week programme.
I proudly represented the RAF Air Cadets internationally, taking part in official visits to Hong Kong, Germany, and Ireland. I completed many leadership and teamwork courses including one at the prestigious RAF College in Cranwell. I was also selected to become a Qualified Aerospace Instructor, a year-long programme requiring in-depth study and assessments across topics such as aerodynamics, air traffic control, and radio communications. This qualification allowed me to deliver technical instruction and presentations, including to senior RAF personnel.
One of my proudest achievements was being appointed Lord Lieutenant’s Cadet, a ceremonial role in which I attended numerous Royal events alongside the Duke of Buccleuch, meeting members of the Royal Family including The Princess Royal and The Duchess of Cambridge.
