Laura Birks

To compliment my ‘A’ level studies I am looking for an opportunity to work in my spare time and to increase my skills and experience. I am a loyal and conscientious person, adaptable, polite, meticulous and will welcome any challenge presented to me.

• Sept 2023 to July 2024 - Duke of Edinburgh – Bronze Award Completion of four sections:
• Volunteering – Young Team Leader Girlguiding at Penkridge 1st Brownies which included assisting with activities in weekly Brownie sessions including crafts, music and games, supervision of younger members of the unit and supporting the local community.
• Physical – member of Dene Dance School. I was awarded Dancer of the Year in 2024.
• Skills – learnt to play drums via private tuition.
• Expedition – completion of 2 outdoor expeditions in the Bromsgrove area to develop and display skills in orienteering/navigation and campcraft.

Dancing – I have been a member of Dene Dance School since the age of 4 years old practising street, commercial and jazz dance. I have performed at Stafford’s Gatehouse Theatre and local community events. I am currently rehearsing for a festival at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. 

Music – playing drums, listening to music. 

Theatre/Live Concerts - attending shows and live performances.
