A hard-working individual with strong organisational skills, achieving goals through effective planning and prioritisation. Motivated to pursue a professional career as a Teaching Assistant, supported by over 16 years of experience in home educating five children—identifying their strengths, assessing their needs, and developing personalised learning approaches.
Coming from a family of educators, teaching has been a lifelong inspiration, deeply rooted in family tradition and passed down from a grandmother who was also a teacher.
Successfully home educated two children, both of whom began primary school with the ability to read, write, and perform basic maths. While strengths lie in supporting early years and primary education, experience also includes home educating a secondary school child for over two years (Years 7, 8, and part of Year 9). This period, though challenging, was highly rewarding and demonstrated a strong ability to deliver effective education across different age groups. The child successfully transitioned back into the school system and continues to thrive academically.
Currently assisting with SATs preparation for a Year 6 pupil, GCSE revision for Year 10 and Year 11 students, and ongoing learning support for children in Foundation and Year 3. Enrolled at Nottingham College and on course to complete the Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification by summer.
In addition to family and educational responsibilities, interests include baking, travel, sports, and creative pursuits. Embraces the philosophy that life offers continuous opportunities for growth and learning. Committed to self-improvement and eager to begin a new professional chapter within the educational field.
