• I visit clients in there own homes to do any domestic duties offer companionship and do shopping if required

In 2004 my eldest son was born with cerebral palsy. I left the workforce to care for him full-time.

During that time I volunteered at the oxfam shop and the mermaid centre at the royal cornwall hospital.

Both of these roles have enabled me to gain customer service skills, organisation skills and lone working both of which has built my confidence and taught me how to work with the public

• I worked as a waitress setting the tables and making sure the dining room was ready for the guests.
• I was trained to do silver service
• I helped put the chambermaids to help prepare the bedrooms for new guests and tidy and freshen the rooms for guests staying longer.

• I was a active member of the shop serving customers on the till.
• I helped to sort through donations and to display them in the shop while keeping the shop tidy
• I welcomed customers into the shop and listened to them if they wanted to talk or advise on any items bring sold
