My general assistant duties entail, cash-handling, dealing with customer issues, job assignments, verifying stock, resolving staff issues and concerns, upkeep and maintenance of a clean and healthy environment.

My role of café assistant has allowed myself to become introduced to the general public in a working environment, which allows me to become helpful in stressful situations and provide the most help I can offer to someone with a query or concern. This also introduced me to a structured work environment where teamwork is greatly valued, this was done through Streamlined order placements with clear communication to kitchen staff.

My duties as sales assistant massively improved my confidence with dealing with the general public. My job entails, replenishing stock in a timely manner to maintain product availability and provide a high standard of maintaining knowledge of current sales, promotions and helping customers make informed decisions buying our products.

My role as sales assistant also included date turn overs, and the importance of stock keeping and date checking food and drink items in store. We have a secure system of date keeping items, to ensure customers are extremely satisfied with their purchases and their time with us in store.

I have also learned the importance of health and safety within the workplace. This includes online training into challenge 25, COSSH and near misses procedures within store.

My role as Sales Assistant has allowed me to gain a lot of experience into retail and boost confidence and morale within the workplace to preform my best every day and provide the best customer service I can.

In my role I also check guest satisfaction regularly, addressing any issues promptly to help guests feel an enhanced experience with a friendly and helpful attitude.

I am also completing a Bar Supervising 2 apprenticeship, which has opened my eyes to the responsibility and understanding of a business.

During this, I am trusted with Cash Handling, Deliveries and ordering, Cellar work in maintaining a clean environment for staff and customers and managing staff and fairly delegating work.

My training in this has allowed me to handle complaints effectively, resulting in increased customer satisfaction.

This has boosted my confidence significantly as I have a loyal basis of customers and staff, enhancing everyone's experience.
