• In this role I adopted a dual clinical and leadership role; acting as a deputy for the Ward Manager
• I have played a key role in the day-to-day management of the ward; are a main point of contact for advice/decisions and will support, supervise and manage staff at every level
• I also continue to be involved in clinical practice, making risk management decisions and assessment to ensure appropriate treatment for individuals with serious mental illness.

• Initially based on the female Psychiatric Intensive Care unit consisting of 5 beds for 14 months before adapting my practice to work on the 7 bed male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit where I continued to develop my skills to eventually be able to progress to a leadership role within this team.

• The opportunity to build my knowledge and experience within healthcare services from the ground up.

• Position whilst studying for A-levels.

Balancing academic work alongside 2500 placement hours..
