Specifications Technologist
- As part of Product development process team responsible for managing internal raw material, customer product specifications and packaging artwork development in cooperation with NPD (New Product Development), Technical, Commercial, Procurement and Purchasing departments in compliance with current UK and EU Food safety, labeling, BRC and other food related certifications and industry standards and regulations and COP (Customer Codes of Practices).
- Managing product development CP (Critical Path) to deliver projects on time with assurance of adherence to business legislative requirements.
- Main retailer account experience MORRISONS/ Safeway, WAITROSE, CO-OP, ASDA, Sainsbury's, Spar, Tesco and other accounts like BP Wild Bean including Greencore's own brand.
- Day to day activity involves developing, maintaining, modifying, and approving both internal and external product specifications, working with customer portals - Morrison's MCreate and MGraphics, Co-op's My-Core and MyArtwork, Sainsbury's Evolve/ HARA, WAVE Artwork, Asda Hive/ Engage, Waitrose Product Pathway, MyBrandStream and Engage, Spar QA and other artwork systems as well as internal raw material specification systems in compliance with UK and EU food and labeling standards, HFSS and other safety regulations.
- Managing all necessary product certifications, microbiological/ shelf-life testing, chemical analysis.
- Managing, setting up and approving supplier raw material specifications for new raw materials, leasing with suppliers all necessary certifications and general compliance with current food safety standards regulations.
- Supporting development of internal systems and procedures.
- Supporting technical department with supplier accreditations such as BRC and Customer Audits.
- Maintaining policies, product information and procedures for QMS (Quality Management Systems), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) and traceability documentation, product quality documentation and traceability.
- Proactively developing and maintaining a sustainable and balanced internal and external working relationships.
