Hobbies

11 years in Scouting allowed me to learn new things while helping others in the process, shaping me into the best person I can be. In addition, Scouting introduced me to archery through competitions that have influenced me to keep participating in the sport to this day., Between the ages of 5 and 10 years old, I took Karate lessons once a week until I reached one of the highest grades. As of recently, I have spent a lot of time at Green Bank Leisure center, as well as my local park, keeping active and healthy., My other hobbies include: teaching myself basic coding with Python, reading, art, gaming and teaching myself how to play bass guitar.

Volunteering

  • Moira Canal Festival, Helping to raise money for Moira Furnace as well as Phoenix ESU, South Derbyshire Scouts by volunteering to lend a helping hand with car parking.
  • Moira Furnace, Helping to raise money for Phoenix ESU, South Derbyshire Scouts by volunteering to help create and maintain a path for the visitors of Moira Furnace.

Experience with Scouts/School

Hikes - Developed map reading, planning and teamwork skills. Long hikes improved my endurance and taught me how to persevere and not give up. For example, I took part in the kinder challenge with my scout group in October 2025. First Aid Training - Had First Aid training on multiple occasions. Remembrance Parades - Given the opportunity to take part on multiple occasions and to be a flag bearer. Camps - Further developed survival, cooking and teamwork skills by splitting tasks up between us.

- Participated in the YMCA Sleepout during October 2025to help raise money for the homeless.

- Participated in a "head shave by local teens to support a friend with cancer". Ultimately raising £4,500 for the teenage cancer trust.
