I am a self-motivated, ambitious and driven CRM Manager currently looking for exciting new challenges to further develop my career. I am a passionate, committed sportsman and graduated from Southampton Solent University in Sports Journalism in 2015. More recently, I've progressed from Marketing Intern to CRM Manager at the online car marketplace heycar. I am very well organised and able to work within a team environment as well as independently using my initiative.

In these roles I have worked as part of the marketing team as the sole member focused on CRM to:


  • Grow our user database from scratch to over 200,000 opt-ins
  • Build and launch multi-channel standalone marketing campaigns & automated transactional journeys
  • Regularly set up A/B tests and continuously look at ways to innovate and optimise our emails
  • Ensure the heycar tone of voice was consistent across communications
  • Lead a wider team OKR project to support the business' growth - increasing the percentage of cars sold on finance deals to over 40%
  • Drive more customer feedback in the form of Google and TrustPilot reviews - whilst providing visibility of them to the rest of the business to act upon
  • Manage the relationship with our CRM agency and organise how to allocate the budget dedicated to their support
  • Share learnings, review performance and collaborate with fellow CRM managers across the other global heycar markets
  • Work with our commercial team to launch a B2B newsletter to engage and drive awareness of everything we were doing to support our dealers' businesses during the pandemic

Academy Manager

GiveMeSport - Sports New Media

In this role I worked as part of a small team to:


  • Manage 40-50 aspiring writers to equip them with the skills, knowledge and experience to become professional paid writers and freelance associates
  • Select and appoint new freelance candidates from our pool of Academy writers
  • Deliver induction training for all new employees of the editorial team which includes advice on story choice, how to use our content management system and the science behind creating intriguing headlines
  • Sub-edit work sent from the Press Association on a whole range of sports and subjects before publishing it on the website

Media Assistant intern

Chesterfield Football Club

During a week-long internship, I worked within the club's media department to:


  • Interview various senior players, coaches, supporters and journalists for features which were published in the match-day programme
  • Write various news stories which were published on the club's website including a report on the Premier League trophy being showcased at a local primary school as part of a community project with the club
  • Assist the team on match-day by producing video content to post on the club's official Instagram account
  • Worked in the press box to write the match report which was published on the club website shortly after full-time

Staff writer

In this role I worked alongside the editorial team to:


  • Write interesting and engaging sports news stories, features and occasional opinion pieces about trending topics in the news on a daily basis
  • Write 120 articles per month and achieved an average of 15,000 views per article
  • Write longer-form parallax articles as part of commercial partnerships GiveMeSport has with other companies
  • Attend media days, for example an event to promote BT's coverage of the Champions League at BT Tower, where I was responsible for interviewing sports celebrities including Rio Ferdinand and Harry Redknapp

In this role I was responsible for:


  • Sub-editing work sent from the Press Association and aspiring writers before publishing and promoting the articles on Facebook
  • Deputised for regular presenter to provide voiceovers for various short videos published on the website's Facebook page
  • Assessing and evaluating new potential Academy members based on trial articles and submissions making recommendations on suitability to join the team

Interests

Sportsman - I play football locally and have a huge interest in lots of sports. At University I was chosen as one of the Tennis club's captains which involved organising training sessions and social events.


Travelling around the world - Australian east coast, New York, California, Mexico, Barbados and various European cities to broaden my experience and view of the world.
